Don first gained national attention when his exploits as a young defense attorney with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps became the basis for the motion picture, "A Few Good Men" in 1992.
Since 1985, Don has been fighting for seriously injured people throughout North Carolina and Virginia in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. His strong belief in personal responsibility fuels his desire to get his clients the full compensation they deserve from those who caused his clients' injuries.
In addition, Don continues to defend select members of the military service each year—mainly Navy and Marine Corps members—in general court marshal and felony proceedings in the region.
Don's skill in the courtroom has led to him being a popular lecturer at law schools, bar associations, and continuing education seminars across the country. He is a legal advisor to the Law Academy, presiding over mock trials and making his expertise available to law students. In his free time, Don services as vice president of the Great Neck Athletics Association.
