• Associate Attorney / Plaintiff, Charlotte, NC

    Panel 1. Marcari Russotto Spencer & Balaban, a multi-state personal injury law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in our Charlotte, NC office. As an Associate Attorney you will be responsible for handling pre-litigation cases including case review, developing client cases, negotiating settlements, subrogation claims, liens and/or other third-party interests and the supervision of several paralegals. Some court appearances may be necessary.You must be an active member and in good standing with the NC State Bar and have at least 3-5 years’ prior experience working in a law firm handling personal injury matters.

    Panel 2. The Legal Intake Specialist is critical to our law firm’s success since he/she is often the first employee with whom a potential client interacts. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about people, can exercise empathy in a difficult time and have a helpful and friendly attitude.

    The ideal candidate will have previous call center/telemarketing experience with exceptional phone skills. Previous BDC (Business Development Center) experience is extremely helpful. This is a rewarding opportunity for the right person who will be sympathetic to our prospective clients and is capable of conveying confidence that the caller has chosen the right law firm. If you have previous telemarking and inbound/outbound phone sales experience, you are the right person for us.
    Position Summary:

    * Respond to high volume of incoming/outgoing phone calls with professionalism and compassion
    * Establish the law firm’s relationship with potential clients through exceptional customer service
    * Gather detailed, fact-specific information about potential client cases
    * Ensure proper data recording of every phone call
    * Manage databases and/or process paperwork for new clients
    * Manage appointment/consultation scheduling with potential clients
    * Ensure that all caller questions are answered

    Qualification Summary:

    * Minimum of 2-4 years of call center and/or inbound/outbound telemarketing sales experience
    * Previous phone sales experience is preferred
    * Working knowledge of basic computer skills is necessary
    * Detail-oriented, able to multitask and have a professional demeanor
    * Excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
    * Self-motivated, energetic and a genuinely positive person who wants to make a difference
    * Treats a late Friday afternoon call with the same compassion and care as any other call
    * Dependability and impeccable attendance record is required
    * Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Administrative Assistant / Receptionist, Chesapeake, VA; Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC

    Panel 3. We are looking for full-time Administrative Assistants / Receptionists who can provide valuable administrative support to our Paralegals and handle a multiline telephone switchboard for our offices. The Receptionist receives and transfers a high volume of calls using a computerized telephone system in a busy work environment. You will play a key role in our law firm as you will create the first impression for our clients and you must always exercise professionalism, patience and a positive attitude.

    Position Summary:

    * Operate a multiline telephone switchboard
    * Request, follow up and obtain medical records/bills related to client treatment
    * Verify/confirm and document account balances with medical providers
    * Set up claims with insurance carriers
    * Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks such as word processing; filing; copying; scanning
    * Greet and welcome clients, potential clients and/or visitors coming to our offices
    * Maintain office equipment such as copiers, scanners, postage machines, fax machines, etc.

    Qualification Summary:

    * Telephone switchboard/operator experience preferred
    * Minimum 1-2 years clerical/administrative and customer service experience
    * Prior experience supporting paralegals or attorneys preferred
    * Polished professional with a client-oriented attitude
    * Able to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities
    * Dependability and impeccable attendance record is required
    * Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
    * Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is also beneficial, but not required.
